Since being elected to the Board of Selectmen in 2016, we have:
- Earned Green Community designation status through the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), earning a $143,636 grant in order to reduce our energy consumption by over 20% and to save taxpayers over $25,000 annually;
- Earned a Community Compact Cabinet Best Practices Grant for $20,000 to create an Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) to preserve and protect our open space, assist in the establishment of an Agricultural Commission, and establish an educational outreach program for stormwater management.
- Earned a Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) Municipal ADA Improvement grant for $151,250 to be used for various accessibility improvements to our buildings, parks, and grounds.
- Earned a Shared Streets & Spaces Winter Grant in the amount of $118,838.50 through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for roadway, crosswalk, and sidewalk improvements.
