Since being elected to the Board of Selectmen in 2016, we have:

  • Adopted weekly recycling;
  • Earned Green Community designation status through the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), earning a $143,636 grant in order to reduce our energy consumption by over 20% and to save taxpayers over $25,000 annually;
  • Installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations using grant funds;
  • Hired a Conservation Agent to help protect and preserve our environment and our wildlife;
  • Replaced all National Grid streetlights with LED light bulbs;
  • Weatherized our schools and our town buildings;
  • Purchased an electric vehicle for inspectional services at the Fire Department, which was partially funded by a MassEVIP grant;
  • Purchased WiFi programmable thermostats for town buildings;
  • Replaced all lighting and fixtures in town buildings.
